Ian Van Dahl: This is when Cleckheaton live music venue ‘reaches new heights’ with ‘Castles in the Sky’ DJ visiting The Loft
The Loft in Cleckheaton will be “reaching new heights” this year when it welcomes a popular noughties Eurodance DJ through its doors.
The live music and events venue, on Northgate, will host internationally recognised DJ Ian Van Dahl, famous for the 2001 hit Castles in the Sky, which peaked at number three in the UK Singles Chart, on Saturday, November 14.
Venue organisers Dee and Steven Frost honeymooned in Ibiza last year and witnessed an “unforgettable” set from the DJ.
Dee said: “It was nothing short of legendary. Now we’re bringing that same Balearic fire home. We’re bringing Ian Van Dahl to The Loft. We are reaching new heights.
“Expect an atmosphere like no other. Expect hands in the air moments. Expect pure Ibiza vibes from start to finish.
“This isn’t just another night out. It’s a memory in the making.”
The venue is also preparing for this year’s Cleckheaton Pride, with the celebration taking place on Saturday, June 6, from 12pm.
The free event will feature stalls, entertainment, and a strong line-up of dance groups and performers from across the region.
Dee said: “Each year it gets bigger and better and proves it’s something Cleckheaton really needs.”
The Loft’s weekly schedule also includes fitness-focused events including Adrenaline Dance, whose Boogie Blast sessions offer an energetic, inclusive environment complete with music, glow sticks and crowd chants every Thursday, as well as a Confidence in Heels class which has recently been introduced.
The venue is also home to Andy’s Man Club Cleckheaton, which meets every Monday (excluding bank holidays), reinforcing the venue’s role as a community hub.
